Bus from Shenzhen to Puning
Q: I know there is bus from Shenzhen to Shantou. Is there any bus from Shenzhen going to Puning? Thanks.
You must be referring to Puning in western Guangdong Province, which is a city under the administration of Jieyang City. From Shenzhen to Puning it is approximately 300 km. You should be able to travel by long distance bus from Shenzhen to Puning.
There are quite a few long distance bus stations in Shenzhen. One of the stations where You should be able to find Puning-bound coaches is Qiaoshe Passenger Transportation Station (Qiaoshe Keyun Zhan). This station is located at No. 1021 Heping Road. This is right next to Luohu (Lo Wu) Border Cross that connects Shenzhen to Hong Kong. It is also where Shenzhen Railway Station is. This is different from Luohu Qizhe Keyun Zhan (Luohu Bus Passenger Transportation Station), which is nearby too. At Qiaoshe Station there should be coaches departing for Puning every hour or so from early morning to 20:00 or so. There are buses that go to Puning exclusively whereas some other buses may be Jieyang-bound and make a stop in Puning. To make the matter simple for yourself, you should choose a Puning-bound bus instead of a going-through bus. There seem to be two places in Puning where these long distance bus stop: Qiaolian and Liusha.
Bus fare for a ride from Shenzhen to Puning is anywhere from 80 to 150 Chinese dollars, depending on the quality of buses, etc. You may try to call Qiaoshe Keyun Zhan for further information - 0755-89810409.
You may also find Puning-bound buses at some other long distance bus stations in Shenzhen. Among them, Wenjindu Keyun Zhan (Wenjindu Passenger Transportation Station). Wenjindu is another border cross with Hong Kong. The station is located at No. 1001 Wenjin Nan Lu (Wenjin South Road); tel.: 61623828. Buses also depart throughout the day.
