One can eat here and also visit a small museum of sculptures and ceramics that is part of the restaurant. This building is located in the neighborhood known as Wudadao ("Five Avenues") in Tianjin. It was designed by an Italian architecture in the 1930s. The locals nicknamed the house "Gedalou" - "building with knots" because the walls of the house is decorated with specially designed bumps that stick out. In the old days a famous Peking-opera star, Ma Lianliang had the building as his residence. Today it is partly a restaurant and partly a museum. The restaurant serves cuisine of Cantonese-style.
