Jixian Jie, "Street Where the Virtuous Gather," is a street in the eastern part of old Beijing. The street is so called because on the street are located Beijing's Confucian Temple as well as Guozijian, “National Academy,” which was the most prestigious school in imperial China. Nearby one also find Yonghegong, the Lama Temple.
