| Xiamen is located on the southern coast of China, across the sea from Taiwan. It is part of Fujian Province, with a total population of 2.5 million. The city is known for its beautiful scenery and robust economy. | | | |  | Attractions | Gulangyu (Gulang Island)Gulangyu is a small island a short distance off the main part of Xiamen -by ferry, it is just a few minutes away. The island is known for its nice architecture and shadowed, quiet streets. The Sunlight Rock (Riguangyan) is the highest point of the island, where one can have a panoramic view of Xiamen. Other attractions on the island include Haoyue Park (Haoyueyuan) and Shuzhuang Garden.
Huan Dao Lu (Island Beltway)Measured 10 km in length, the road goes around Xiamen and offers many enchanting views of the area.
Hulishan FortLocated on the southern coast of Xiamen, this historical fort is now a museum featuring traditional weapons and other artifacts.
Jimen DistrictLocated 15 km northwest of Xiamen, this is the hometown of the famed native son Chen Jiageng, an affluent overseas Chinese, whose financial support saw the establishment of cultural and educational institutions in the area.
Nanputuo TempleOne of the foremost Buddhist temples in the region, Nanputuo Temple was originally built in the Tang Dynasty (7th-10th century) and reconstructed in the Ming period (14th-17th century). Nanputuo means "Southern Potalaka"
Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition CenterLocated on the southeastern coast of Xiamen, the center integrates accommodation facilities with convention spaces.

Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport is 10 km northeast of the city center. One can travel between the airport and Xiamen by shuttle buses, taxis and city buses.
Railway Station:
Xiamen Railway Station is located in the heart of Xiamen, at 900 Xiahe Road.
Taxi:
¥8 for the first 3 km; ¥2 for every additional km.
Long Distance Bus Stations:
