Located on the upper streem of the Yangzi River, Chongqing is a major economic center of southwestern China. Chongqing TransportationAirport: Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is 23 km northeast of the city center. Shuttle buses and taxis connect the city and the airport. Railway Station: There are several railway stsatins in Chongqing. Most trains stop and depart from Chongqing Railway Station and Chongqing North Station. The former is located older part of Chongqing, the peninsula in between the Yangzi and Jialing rivers; the latter is Yubei District, about 5 km north of the city center. Light Rail Chongqing Metro operates a city rail line that runs from Jiaochangkou in the heart of Chongqing to Xishancun in the southwestern suburb. Named No. 2 Line, this is part of a larger rail transportation system. Taxi: ¥5 for the first 3 km; ¥1.2 for every additional km. Long Distance Bus Stations: Chongqing Bus Station (Chongqing Qiche Zhan), No. 12 Caiyuan Road. Caiyuanba Bus Station (Caiyuanba Qiche Zhan), No. 1 Zheng Street, Caiyuanba.
