| Located in the heart of Northeast China, Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province. It lies in between Harbin in north and Shenyang in south and is 1032 km or 640 mi from Beijing. Partly due to its location, in the 1930s and 1940s, when the Japanese created the puppet Manchurian State, Changchun was chosen as its capital. since the city has changed a great deal is now known both for its economic vigor and green environment. It was the birthplace of China's auto industry, where Changchun Auto Factory was based, and is the home of Changchun Film Studio. | ||

Changchun TransportationAirport: Changchun Longjia International Airport is 28 km northeast of the city center. The airport is connected to the city by shuttle buses and taxis. Railway Station: Changchun Railway Station (Changchun Huoche Zhan) is located in the northern part of the city, with Renming Avenue leading away from it to the south. Long Distance Bus Stations: Changchun Passenger Transportation Central Station (Changchun Keyun Zhongxin Zhan), No. 238 Renmin Avenue, close to Changchun Railway Station. Changchun Passenger Transportation South Station (Changchun Keyun Nan Zhan), No. 810 Jiefang Boulevard. Kaixuan Road Passenger Transportation Station (Kaixuan Lu Keyun Zhan), on Kaixuan Road, south of Taibei Avenue. Changchun Express Passenger Transportation Station (Changchun Gaosu Keyun Zhan), on renmin Avenue, south of Weixing Square. Taxi: ¥5 for the first 2.5 km; ¥1.3 for each additional km.
