| Located in the heart of Northeast China, Changchun is the capital of Jilin Province. It lies in between Harbin in north and Shenyang in south and is 1032 km or 640 mi from Beijing. Partly due to its location, in the 1930s and 1940s, when the Japanese created the puppet Manchurian State, Changchun was chosen as its capital. since the city has changed a great deal is now known both for its economic vigor and green environment. It was the birthplace of China's auto industry, where Changchun Auto Factory was based, and is the home of Changchun Film Studio. | | | |  | Attractions | Ba Da Bu (Eight Ministries)Located in the neighborhood where Xinmin Avenue and Ziyou Boulevard meet, these are eight buildings constructed in the 1930s. At the time they were intended to be used by the government departments of Manzhouguo, the puppet Manchurian state that the Japanese established after their occupation of Northeast China. The buildings are known for their architectural style that combine Western and Eastern elements.
Changchun Film City (Changchun Dianying Cheng)Located in western Changchun, next to Changchun Film Studio, Changchun Film City serves both as part of a movie-making studio and as a tourist attraction. Occupying 29 hectares (72 acres) of land, the movie-themed park is consisted of sights such as Ming-Qing Dynasty Street, Beijing traditional residential quarters, Special Effects Hall, Adventure Palace. This is different from Changchun Film Century City, which is theme park located outside Changchun.
Changchun Film Studio Century City (Chang Ying Shiji Cheng)This is a theme park built upon the strength of Changchun Film Studio, a powerhouse in China's motion picture industry. Changchun Film Studio Century City is located 12 km southeast of Changchun, in the Jingyuetan Scenic Area. Attractions in the park include Happy Island, Spring of Fortune, Kids' Paradise, Stunt World, Floting World, 3D Movie Theater and 4D Special Effect Shows.
Changchun World Sculpture Park (Changchun Shijie Diaosu Gongyuan)Changchun World Sculpture Park is located in southern Changchun. Occupying 92 hectares (227 acres) of land, the park features over 300 sculptural works by artists from 100-odd countries. In the park is also Changchun Sculptural Art Gallery, which is the largest of its kind in China.
Changchun Zoo and Botanical Garden (Changchun Dongzhiwuyuan)Measured 74 hectares (183 acres) in area, Changchu Zoo and Botanical Garden is located in the Nanguan District of Changchun, west of Renmin Avenue and Ziyou Boulevard.
Jingyuetan Scenic Area (Jingyuetan Fengjing Qu)Jingyuetan is a lake located 12 km southeast of central Changchu, and the surrounding area has been designated a forest park. The scenic area comprises over 80 square kilometers of land and provides good opportunities for for water play in summer, skiing in winter, golfing, hiking, and general vacationing.
Puppet Emperor's Palace (Wei Huanggong)In the 1930s and 1940s, when the Japanese occupied the northeastern part of China known as Manchuria, they created a puppet state called Manzhouguo (Manchurian State). As the head of the state, they installed Aisingioro Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty whose rule in Beijing had been overthrown in the republican revolution of 1911. Puyi's palace, located in the northeastern district of Changchun, was consisted of both then existing buildings and a few other constructed later on. Sitting on 4.3 hectares (10.6 acres) of land, the palace is divided into residential and official quarters and today hosts a museum that features the history of the puppet Manchuria state. After the war was over, Puyi was sentence to jail terms and later worked as a gardener upon his release.
South Lake Park (Nanhu Gongyuan)South Lake Park is the largest urban park in Northeast China, with a total area of 222 hectares(549 acres). Located in southwestern Changchun, it is a popular place for picnics, fishing, swimming, boating, and fun on ice in winter times.

Changchun Longjia International Airport is 28 km northeast of the city center. The airport is connected to the city by shuttle buses and taxis.
Railway Station:
Changchun Railway Station (Changchun Huoche Zhan) is located in the northern part of the city, with Renming Avenue leading away from it to the south.

Changchun Passenger Transportation Central Station (Changchun Keyun Zhongxin Zhan), No. 238 Renmin Avenue, close to Changchun Railway Station. Changchun Passenger Transportation South Station (Changchun Keyun Nan Zhan), No. 810 Jiefang Boulevard. Kaixuan Road Passenger Transportation Station (Kaixuan Lu Keyun Zhan), on Kaixuan Road, south of Taibei Avenue. Changchun Express Passenger Transportation Station (Changchun Gaosu Keyun Zhan), on renmin Avenue, south of Weixing Square.

City Rail
